Miaoija Liu

Yfirmađur kennslumála hjá BIMCO (Baltic and International Maritime Council) frá maí 2011.
Miaojia Liu studied in Dalian Maritime University (China) majored in International Shipping Management and she holds her BSc and MSc degrees from this university. She obtained her doctoral degree from Kobe University (Japan) in 2006 and her PhD study focused on "The Competitive Situations in Container Transport Market". Afterwards she took an internship opportunity at UNCTAD (UN Conference of Trade and Development, Geneva, Switzerland) where creating a data-base of worldwide liner connectivity was her main duty.

In November 2006, Miaojia Liu moved to Denmark as a Post doc researcher in the Department of Maritime Research and Innovation at University of Southern Denmark. She joined the Centre for Maritime Economics and Logistics, Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands as Assistant Professor in January 2008 and worked there until December 2010. Dr. Liu will start to work for BIMCO (Baltic and International Maritime Council) as Chief Education Officer from May 2011 onwards.
