Sigríður Ólafsdóttir

Sigríður Ólafsdóttir is the former programic director of the master's program in Coastal and Marine Management at the University Centre of the West Fjords. She holds a master's degree in environmental science from the University of Iceland and did pioneering work on the sustainability of coastal management and utilization in Iceland for her final thesis. She also holds a BS degree in Geology and Geography and has for some years been a teacher of environmental studies at the high school level. Sigríður has much experience in the media sector and worked as a reporter for weather, nature and environmental issues for local television in Iceland. She also holds a professional guiding license and a captain's license for small vessels.
