The spring semester in the Coastal and Marine Management program has commenced. On Monday, the students in the master´s program began the final core course, Coastal and Marine Ecology, taught by Guðmundur Ingi Guðbrandsson. A few exams are also being taken by distance learning students, so it can be said that the University Centre is full of life these first days of the New Year.

The instructor of the course Coastal and Marine Ecology, Guðmundur Ingi Guðbrandsson, is an environmental scientist at the Institute for Sustainability Studies at the University of Iceland. Guðmundur Ingi also teaches at the Faculty of Life and Environmental Science at UI.

Our community

"Iceland is a place where the four elements seem to be engaged in a constant battle for dominance over the lives of its inhabitants. It's hard to imagine an environment better suited to preparing students for the challenges of a career in natural resource management."

Alan Deverell, Great Britain, CMM student 2009-2010
