This week on June 17, Iceland's National Day, a University Festival will be held at Hrafnseyri to celebrate the students graduating from the Coastal and Marine Management master's program. The graduation ceremony will be at 11. After the University Festival and graduation ceremony there will be a ceremony at Hrafnseyri to celebrate the bicentenary of Jón Sigurðsson, the leader of Iceland's struggle for independence. In the evening an informal gathering will be held for students, alumni, their families, instructors, staff members, founders and other benefactors of the University Centre. We hope to see you at this joyous event.

The coach trips are free of charge. Please specify if you will be taking the coach from the University Centre of the Westfjords, Skeiði (Bónus supermarket), Önundarfjörður, or Þingeyri (petrol station N1). Departure 09:30 sharp. Registraton obligatory.
Grill-supper: Food and non-alcoholic drinks at reasonable prices. Please have cash on hand.
Guests/partners are welcome to the grill-supper. Please let us know how many you are.
