New Research Link on the University Centre's Website

Over the past few years, the University Centre's development has been reported on the University Centre's website. Until now the focus has been on providing students with information regarding teaching and study options. However, with a growing number of master's theses, the research sector of the University Centre has grown considerably. Since last fall we have been working on a new research page to showcase current and past research completed at the University Centre.

The page is finally up but is still under construction. Currently, information on faculty and student research in the Coastal and Marine Management program is available on the English site. In addition to this, pages with information on various research projects that the University Centre is involved in and pages on the research environment and support system in the Westfjords will soon be launched.

Our community

"Iceland is a place where the four elements seem to be engaged in a constant battle for dominance over the lives of its inhabitants. This provides an exciting, if sometimes demanding, backdrop to the CMM programme. It's hard to imagine an environment better suited to preparing students for the challenges of a career in natural resource management."

Alan Deverell, Great Britain, CMM student 2009-2010
