Ocean Wilderness: Ecological Imperative or Interesting Idea?

Wednesday March 2, Brad Barr will give a lecture which he calls "Ocean Wilderness: Ecological Imperative or Interesting Idea?" In his talk Mr. Barr will discuss his ongoing research into the topic of identifying and designating wilderness protected areas in ocean and coastal waters.

Brad Barr is an instructor at the University Centre of the Westfjords and is currently teaching the course Coastal and Marine Conservation. He is a Senior Policy Advisor in the Office of the Director of the US National Marine Sanctuary Program and a PhD candidate at the University of Alaska.

The lecture is open to the public and starts at 12.10 in room 1-2 at the University Centre.
