The following Master Class courses will be offered during the music festival Við Djúpið June 18 - 23. Note that registration is done through the website of the festival Við Djúpið.

Course Assessment: Participation
The goal of this course is to give students the oportunity to work on their art in an inspiring environment, where they get to enjoy the guidance of one of the most talented artists in her field in a new and inspiring environment, outside of school hours.
Sif Tulinius is one of Icelands most talented musicians in her field and performs regularly, both as a soloist and with chamber ensembles. She was recently hired as the second Concertmaster of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. In interplay with the nature of the Westfjords and one of the best concert facilities in Iceland students get the opportunity to further their musical skills under the guidance of Sif. The students are expected to bring pieces of their own choice to work on in the masterclass. The course is held as part of the music festival and summer courses Við Djúpið, where students get the chance to work on their art in an inspiring environment, and enjoy a series of concerts and other events.

Instruments: Ísafjörður Music School has a Steinway concert piano as well as pianos in every classroom.

Andrew Quartermain performs widely as a soloist and chamber musician. He is also an experienced teacher, and teaching forms an important part of his work. He is on the staff of the Guildhall School of music and drama and is CEO and Artistic Director of Pro Corda, the International Chamber Music Academy. He also conducts masterclasses in improvisation.
The course gives students an opportunity to receive guidance from Quartermain in one of the best concert facilities in Iceland. The students are expected to bring pieces of their own choice to work on in the masterclass.The course is held as part of the music festival and summer courses Við Djúpið, where students get the chance to work on their art in an inspiring environment, and enjoy a series of concerts as well as the beautiful nature of the Westfjords.

Janet Williams (soprano) has won international critical acclaim for performances in leading roles at opera houses such as the Metropolitan Opera, Berlin Staatsoper and Paris Opera. Janet has also studied and trained voices for more than 30 years. During the course the students will get the chance to work on elements of vocal technique and interpretation, as well as mental training. They are expected to bring pieces of their own choice to work on in the masterclass. The course is held as part of the music festival and summer courses Við Djúpið, where several concerts are also organized and the teachers and students enjoy the special and welcoming atmosphere the town has to offer, as well as its beautiful environment and nature.
